    a). Area = (length) (width)

    = (60 ft) (√18 ft)

    = (60 √18) ft²

    = 60 √ (9 · 2) ft²

    = 60 (3) √2 ft²

    = 180 √2 ft² (about 254.6 ft²)

b). Volume = (length) (width) (height)

    = (60 ft) (√18 ft) (√10 ft)

    = 60 √ (180) ft³

    = 60 √ (4 · 9 · 5) ft³

    = 60 (2) (3) √5 ft³

    = 360 √5 ft³ (about 805 ft³)
