    Ah, ok

    remember, a (b+c) = ab+ac

order of operations so combine inside parntaheses first

    all inside parnthaeses are simlfied

    now distribute

    7 (x-3) = 7 (x) + 7 (-3) = 7x-21

    other distribute

    -2 (7+4x) = - 2 (7) - 2 (4x) = - 14-8x

    so we have

    9x-5+7x-21-14-8x-3x

    group like terms

    9x+7x-8x-3x-5-21-14

    add like terms

    5x-40
