A farm uses a circular system to water the crops. The arm on the system (the radius) is 400 meters long. What area of land can it water? Use 3.14 to approximate pi.

    Area of a Circle = pi x radius square

    3.14 x 160,000 (radius square)

    = 502,400 meters

    The 400 meter long arm of the circular system can water 502,400 meters of crops.
