Kaitlynn needs 3 pounds of fruit for a salad. She already has 3/4 pound of apples and 1/3 pound of grapes. Drag the fruits Kaitlynn can add to the fruits she already has to make exactly 3 pounds of fruit.

    The first step is finding a common denominator for both fractions, in this case it is 12: 3/4=9/12 and 1/3=4/12. So far we have 13/12 of fruit. You could have 11/12 of a pound of strawberies. Half a pound of pears and half a pound of pineapple.
