The angle of elevation to the top of a very tall building is found to be 13° from the ground at a distance of 1 mi from the base of the building. Using this information, find the height h of the building. (Round your answer to the nearest foot.)

    Tan (Θ) = (h/distance from base)

    Θ=13 degrees, 1mile=5280 ft

    tan (13) = (h/5280 ft)

    5280tan (13) = h

    h=1218.984049

    h=1219 ft
