A soup can has a diameter of 6.6cm. The label on the can is 8.8cm high. There is a 1cm overlap on the label. What is the area of the label.

    Calculate the circumference and then add the 1 cm overlap:

    C = pi * (6.6 cm) + 1 cm = 21.7 cm.

    Next, mult this C by the height, 8.8 cm: Total area is 21.7 cm times 8.8 cm,
