    We know that

    area of triangle=b*h/2

    b = (x-2) m

    Area = (x²-4) m²

    h=?

    (x²-4) = (x+2) * h/2

    but remember that

    (x²-4) = (x+2) * (x-2)

    so

    subsititute

    (x+2) * (x-2) = (x+2) * h/2

    (x-2) = h/2

    h=2 * (x-2)

    the answer is

    the height of a triangle is 2 * (x-2)
