A step on a stairway is at least 8 inches high. What inequality should I write and solve to represent the minimum number of steps between floors that are 10 feet apart?

    To answer this question you would consider that 10 feet equals 120 inches. If you show the 120 inches being broken into groups the size of 8 inches, this would be 15 total steps needed at the most. If the steps were any longer, the number of steps would decrease. I would represent all the possible solutions by writing an inequality that says 120/8 > x or x < 120/8 where x is the number of steps.
