Complete a Guess and Check table to solve the following problem.

On her tour of the world, Mrs. Poppington stopped in Chicago. The tallest building in Chicago is the Sears Tower. A clever tour guide posted this problem: 417 is 23 less than 4 times the times of stories in the Sears Tower. How many stories does the Tower have?

    The answer is 110 stories. 110 multiplied by 4 is 440, 440 minus 23 is 417, thus the answer is 110.
