    The general form of the equation of a straight line is ax+by+c=0

    slope = - a/b

    so the slope in your equation = 3

    to get the y-intercept put x = 0

    y = - 11

    the equation is y = 3x - 11

    you can also get it by isolating the y, it will give you the same equation
