    supplementary angles = 180 degrees

    so x = angle 1

    y = angle 2

    y = 3x-12

    x + 3x-12 = 180

    4x-12 = 180

    4x = 192

    x = 192/4 = 48

    y = 3 (48) - 12 = 144-12 = 132

    132 + 48 = 180

    the angle is 132
