    Set up a system of equations:

    sum of 3 #s is 125:

    x + y + z = 125

    first # is 5 more than third:

    x = z + 5

    second # is 3 times the third:

    y = 3z

    then use that info to solve for the numbers

    (x) + (5+x) + (3x) = 125

    5x=120

    x=24

    The third number is 24

    The first number is 29

    The second number is 72
