In a cafeteria, 100 milk cartons were put out for breakfast. After breakfast there were 40 milk cartons left. What is the ratio of milk cartons remaining to total milk taken?

    the ratio would be 40:60

    It would be 40 to 60 since the question asks ration of remaining to taken ... 40 is remaining and milk taken is 60 since 100-40=60
