A water tank containing 496 gallons is 62% full. how many more gallons are needed to fill the tank?

    304 gallons are needed to fill up the tank

    62 percent equals 496 gallons

    100 percent equals 496*100/62 = 800 gallons

    so 800-496 = 304 are needed to fill the tank
