Erma maintains an active blog about her seashell collection. She has 500 white shells, 325 yellow shells, 15 pink shells, and 60 green shells in her jar. She asks Sweet T to reach into her jar of seashells and randomly select a shell. Then she replaces it and shakes up the jar before asking Sweet T to pick another shell. If Sweet T repets this 200 times, about how many shells can he expect to be greer?

She should expect to get about 13 green shells.

There are 900 shells in total. 60 of them are green. This is about 6.67%.

To find the expect value out of 200, just multiply the percent by 200.

    0.0667 x 200 is about 13.
