    Here it is: - 7/3 = - 2 1/3 and 9/-4 = - 2 1/4

    Inorder to add these two mixed numbers you would have to find the lowest common denominator (lcd). For this problem the the lcd = 12.

    -2 1/3 = - 2 4/12 and - 2 1/4 = - 2 3/12

    Therefore, - 2 4/12 + - 2 3/12 = - 4 5/12 (you are able to add both mixed numbers sinse the lcd are in common)

    #2 Any number which can be expressed as a whole number is classified as an integer.

    Definition: The set of integers consists of the positive integers, negative integers, and zero.

    { ... - 3,-2,-1,0, 1, 2, 3, ... }

    Therefore, - 81, 12/3=4, and 18/9 are the only numbers that qualify as an integer
