The quotient when sarah divided a number by 5 was 247 with a remainder. what is one possible dividend and explain how you find it.

    One possible divided is the number 1236.

    If 5 went into 1235 the quotient would be exactly 247. However, there needs to be a remainder. So let's just change the number to 1236. Then, there will be a remainder of 1.
