    X=percent discount.

    I suggest this equation:

    1.5 - (x/100) 1.5=0.9

    least commom multiple=100

    150-1.5x=90

    -1.5x=90-150

    -1.5x=-60

    x=-60/-1.5=40

    Answer: the percent discount is 40%
