The lengths of 2 sides of a right triangle are 5 inches and 8 inches. What is the differnce between the 2 possible lengths of the third side of the triangle? Round your answer to the nearest tenth

    The third side must have length greater than 3.

    Its maximum length would have to be less that 13 inches.

    So the difference is < 13 - 3 = < 10
