How to find the variance of a sample with only mean standard deviation size?

    The standard deviation is the square root of the variance

    so if the variance is 100, then the standard deviation is sqrt 100 = 10

    or, if u have the standard deviation of 10 ... then to find the variance, u square it ... so the variance is 10^2 = 100
