A man has 20 coins in his pocket, all of which are dimes and quarters. if the total value of his change is 425 cents, how many dimes and how many quarters does he have? your answer is

    Using the guess and test method, I found that:

    15 quarters = $3.75

    5 dimes = $0.50

    Total: 20 coins = $4.25 or 425 cents
