Jack and Diane were multiplying 13x7. Jack said that if he added 7 thirteen times he would get the right answer. Diana said that if she added 13 seven times, she would get the right answer. Explain who will end up with the correct answer and how you know?

    I agree with Diana that she will get the correct answer and I disagree with Jack's answer. I know that Diana will have the correct answer because there would be like 13 boxes and 7 different balls in each. So the equation would be 13*7. I disagree with Jack's answer because there would be like 7 boxes and 13 different balls in each boxes. So the equation would be 7*13.

    They both will end up with the same correct answer. I know that because they are both using addition to solve the same multiplication problem, except for they reveresed their ways of finding it.
