    Area of triangle=1/2 times base times height

    height=3 times base

    h=3b

    so

    area=54

    54=1/2bh

    subsittue 3b for h

    54=1/2b (3b)

    54 = (3/2) (b²)

    times both sides by 2/3

    36=b²

    sqrt both sides

    6=b

    sub back

    h=3b

    h=3 (6)

    h=18

    the heigh is 18cm
