A can of beans has a diameter of 8 inches and a height of 5 inches. What is the volume of the can? Use 3.14 for. Round to the nearest tenth.

    The volume is the area of the groundplane times the height.

    The area is πr², and r is half the diameter = 4.

    So area = 3.14*4*4 = 50.24 and volume = 5*50.24=251.2
