    3 solos times 5 1/2 hours. 3 times 5 = 15 ... and 3 times 1/2 = 1.5 hours ... add 15 + 1.5 = 16.5

    5/12 * 3 = 15/12

    15/12 = 1 3/12

    1 3/12 = 1 1/4

    so he practiced for 1 hour and 15 min
