Find the nth term for the sequence 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36

    1+3=4

    4+5=9

    9+7=16

    16+9=25

    25+11=36

    Evidently, you can notice the pattern. The second number is always increasing by two. Therefore the nth term is n^2.
