All 120 people in an office building were asked how they traveled to and from the office. The frequency table below represents the results of this survey. (Walked - 32) (Biked - 11) (Bus - 45) (Subway - 28) (Car - 4)

Question; Cecil takes the subway to the office and works with 13 people, not counting himself. What is a good estimate of the number of people I'm his office that Cecil rides the subway with?

    A good estimate would be 3.

    The probability that someone works in the office building and rides the subway to work is 28/120. There are 13 people in the office, so

    28/120 (13) = 364/120 = 3.03 ≈ 3 people would be the number you would expect to have ridden the subway.
