If changes are made to a signature while using version 5. x signature files, are they visible in the router running the configuration?

I think that the changes will not be visible in the router running the configuration. This is because they are not part of the router configuration. The version 5. x signature is more advantageous it has an additional signature risk rating feature and it supports encrypted signature parameters.
