Determine the vertex and the axis of symmetry for the function below: y = - x^2 + 2x + 1

    Hello:

    y = - x^2 + 2x + 1

    y = - (x²-2x+1-1) + 1

    y = - (x-1) ² + 2

    the vertex is : (1, 2)

    axis of symmetry is the line of equation : x = 1
