Karl needs to build a stage that has an are of 72 square feet. The length of the stage should be longer than the width. What are the possible whole number measurements for the length and width of the stage

    72 = L * w

    L> w

    From the first equation

    L = 72 / w

    72 / w > w

    Using cross product

    W^2 < 72

    W< square root of 72

    The square root for 72 ~ 8.4

    W = 8

    72 = 8*L

    L=9
