    We have the following variable:

    x = The amount of orange juice

    We have the following equation:

    x + ( * + 100) + 1/2 * = 1850

    We clear x:

    (5/2) x + 100 = 1850

    (5/2) x = 1850 - 100

    (5/2) x = 1750

    x = 1750 / ((5/2))

    x = 700 ml

    pineapple juice = * + 100 = 700 + 100 = 800 mL

    strawberry juice = 1/2 * = (1/2) 700 = 350 mL

    The difference is:

    800 - 350 = 450 mL

    Answer:

    The difference in the amounts of pineapple juice and strawberry juice martin combined was:

    450 mL
