The second hand of an analog clock completes an entire rotation in 60 seconds, and the length of the seconds hand is 8 inches. approximately how far does the tip of the seconds hand travel in 2 minutes and 15 seconds

    Circumcerence = distance travelled in one full rotation = 2 x π x 8 = 16π

    for 2 minutes and 15 seconds,

    multiply 16π by 2.25 as 2 minutes is twice the distance of one rotation and 15 seconds is a quarter more

    therefore answer is 36π = 113.1 inches
