A cube has an edge length of 5 inches. How would the volume of the cube change if the edge length were doubled?

    Yes. The volume of he cube would increase. Since the formula for finding the volume of a cube is length x base x height, doubling the edge would mean that all of the edges would be ten.

    Instead of 5*5*5=125 it would now be 10*10*10=1000
