Adam wrote a check for $38 to pay his monthly gas bill, but when balancing his checkbook, he accidentally recorded it as credit rather than as a debit. How will his check register compare to his monthly bank statement when he receives it?

    His register will be off by $64 because he showed it as an addition instead of a debit. His balance would show an extra $38 for the credit error and the bank will deduct the $38 for the check, therefore causing there to be a $64 discrepancy.
