The arena's merchandise department calculates total profit on an item using this formula:

t = n (p - c)

•t is total profit in dollars

•n is the number of items sold

•p is the price the item is sold for

•c is the cost of the item for the arena to buy

Work out t when n is 35, p is $10 and c is $2.50 $

    T = 35 (10 - 2.5)

    t = 35 (7.5)

    t = 262.5

    $262.50
