A cooler at a picnic contains 100 cans of soda covered by ice. there are 25 cans of cola, 48 cans of orange soda, 16 cans of ginger ale, and 11 cans of root beer. the cans are all the same size and shape. if one can is selected at random from the cooler, determine the probability that the soda selected is cola , root beer comma or ginger ale.

    Cola: 25 cans cola out of 100 total cans = 25/100

    Root Beer: 11 cans root beer out of 100 total cans = 11/100

    Ginger Ale: 16 cans ginger ale out of 100 total cans = 16/100

    cola OR root beer OR ginger ale

    25/100 + 11/100 + 16/100 = 52/100 = 13/25
