Mr. Bobby plans to spend no more than $200 on pizza and soda for a party. Each pack of soda costs $5.00 and each pizza costs $8.00. What inequality could Mr. Bobby use to determine how many packs of soda, s, and how many pizzas, p, he can buy?

    One side of the inequality would be the final amount, $200 and we would use 200≥ since he wants to spend no more than that. The other side of the inequality would be the amount spent on pizzas and sodas. Since each pizza is $8.00, that term would be 8p or $8.00 x the number of pizzas. Sodas would be 5s for the same reason. So putting this all together, the inequality would be: 200 ≥ 8p + 5s
