Convert 36 cubic meters to cubic millimeters? Show work!

    We know that: 10mm = 1cm

    100cm = 1m

    From these conversions, we can simply say that 1000mm = 1m

    Now if 1000mm = 1m, then to convert milliliters (mm) to meters (m) should be pretty straight forward.

    (1000mm) ^{3} = (1m) ^{3}

    X = 36m^3 ... here the cubic meters cancels out, leaving mm

    thus, (36 * 1000) mm^3 = 36000 cubic meters
