Belle is 450 kilometers north of her exit on a freeway. She is driving at a constant velocity of 50 kilometers per hour to the south. How long will she have to drive to get one-third of the way to her exit

    Well, first you have to get 1/3 of 450. To do that you can do 450 : 3. This would five you 150. After that you could do 150 : 50. Which would give you 3.

    Belle would have to drive 3 hours.
