    Solutions

    Finding the sum of all the areas of each face on a 3-D object is called calculating the surface area. To calculate the surface area you use the formula c=2πr.

    Calculate

    SA = 4πr²

    43.96 = 2 πr

    Divide each of the side by 2

    43.96 = 2πr : 2

    21.98 = πr

    divide both sides by π (approximate π to 3.14)

    7=r

    SA=4πr²

    SA=4π7²

    SA=4π49

    SA=196pi

    SA = 615.44 cm²

    C=2pir

    SA=4pir^2

    43.96=2pir

    divide both sides by 2

    21.98=pir

    divide both sides by pi (aprox pi to 3.14)

    7=r

    SA=4pir^2

    SA=4pi7^2

    SA=4pi49

    SA=196pi

    aproxpi=3.14

    sa=615.44 cm^2
