The sides in a rectangle are in the ratio 3:2. What is the length of each side if the perimeter of the if the rectangle is 55cm

    Let the sides be 3x and 2x

    perimeter = 2 (l+w)

    55=2 (3x+2x)

    55=2 (5x)

    x=11/2

    side 3x = 33/2 or 16.5cm

    side 2x = 22/2 or 11cm
