A nearby pool holds 30,000 gallons. The pool has been filled with 19,500 gallons of water. If the variable w stands for the amount of additional water the pool can hold, which of the following would be a reasonable value for this variable?

    30,000 - 19,500 = 10,500 gallons left to fill the pool. So I am assuming the answer would be w = 10,500 gallons ... unless there was an equation missing in the question
