    2x + 3y = 3

    y = 8 - 3x

    2x + 3 (8 - 3x) = 3

    2x + 24 - 9x = 3

    -7x + 24 = 3

    -7x = 3 - 24

    -7x = - 21

    x = - 21/-7

    x = 3

    y = 8 - 3x

    y = 8 - 3 (3)

    y = 8 - 9

    y = - 1
