A pencil bag contains 24 red pencits, 15 blue pencils, and 8 green pencils. Without looking, Carrie selects a pencil, gives it to her friend, and then selects another pencil. What is the probability that Carrie selected a blue pencil for her friend and a red pencil for herself? Write your answer as a percent. Round to the nearest tenth of a percent.

    24+15=39.

    Picked for her friend = 15/39.

    Picked for herswlf = 24/39.

    To get the %, divide the #'s and then multiply them by a 100.

    So, 15/39=.384615*100=38.46%

    24/39=.615385*100 = 61.54%
