Mrs. parker rolls dough to make an 8-inch diameter pie. what area does the dough cover? round to the nearest hundredth. (use 3.14 for pi.)

    Area = pi r^2 (r = 1/2 diameter = 4)

    so the answer is 3.14 * 4^2 = 50.24 to nearest hundredth

    (Note if you use 3.1416 for pi you get a more accurate answer of 50.27)
