How do I determine the number of solutions there are for this system of equations?2x+6y=5 x+3y=2

    Take one of the equation and, 2X+6y=5 and x+3y=2, now take one of the equation and (-2) x+3y=2 then - 2x-6y=-4 add the common factor with the other equation which would cross out both variable leaving 0=1
