A bus is 4 1/3 metres tall. A bridge is 5 7/9 metres above the road. How much space is there between the bus and the bridge?

    5 7/9 - 4 1/3

    covert 1/3 to 9ths 3 x 3 = 9 so 1/3 = 3/9

    5 7/9 - 4 3/9 = 1 4/9 meters
