Solve 6^3 - x = 6^2 for x

    You mean 6^ (3-x) ?

    then the answer is D.

    because when 6^ (3-x) = 6^2, you can just ignore that 6 because both of them are 6, therofe we only need to focus on the power.

    (3-x) = 2

    therefore x is 1.
