An experiment consists of randomly selecting a ball from a box, replacing it and then selecting another ball. The box contains 8 pink balls and 6 brown balls. What is the probability of selecting a brown ball and then a pink ball?

    P (selecting a brown ball first) = 6/14 = 3/7

    P (selecting a pink ball) = 8/14 = 4/7

    Probability of selecting a brown then a pink = 3/7 * 4/7 = 12/49 (answer)
