What are the next two terms in a sequence - 9, 3, - 1 ... ?

    I think the rule is + 12, - 4.

    -9, 3, - 1

    -9 + 12 = 3

    3 - 4 = - 1

    The next two terms in the sequence would be 11, 7.

    -1 + 12 = 11

    11 - 4 = 7

    The sequence would then be:

    -9, 3, - 1, 11, 7
